Vietnam's Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Co. is the first pipe maker in the country able to extrude PE pipe with a diameter up to 78 inches.
Tien Phong Plastic Joint Stock Co. will be the first pipe maker in Vietnam able to extrude polyethylene pipe with an external diameter of up to 78 inches (2,000 millimeters), after ordering a pipe extrusion line from Battenfeld-Cincinnati.
The Vienna-based company will deliver the line in the spring of 2015.
This is the second line Tien Phong has purchased with internal cooling.
The state-owned company is a major producer of pipe and fittings made of PVC, HDPE and polypropylene.
“We are already operating several lines from Battenfeld-Cincinnati and are particularly pleased about the material- and energy-saving operation of this equipment and its easy handling,” said Nguyen Quoc Truong, Tien Phong’s general director.
The machine is a single-screw extruder, solEX brand, and includes a helix VSI-T+pipe die. An EAC drying system has been installed, which uses heated air from the internal pipe cooling in the die to dry raw material, saving energy. |
